After making your purchase, please come down to get your picture taken with the 4-Her and the animal you purchased. Please be sure to sign a buyer card, verifying the price paid and indicating your choices of processing plants where the animal will be delivered to. You are responsible for picking up the meat and for processing costs. If you are donating your purchase to benefit your favorite charity, please make sure you indicate the name, address, and contact person of your designated charity to ensure your donation reaches the correct organization. Payment in full is appreciated unless other arrangements have been made. Please make checks payable to “Howard County Livestock Sale” or pay by Visa Credit Card. Buyers will pay credit card fees when paying by credit card. A late fee of 1.5% per month will be charged to all overdue balances when over 60 days late. Thank you for supporting our youth!
Buyers are responsible for making their own arrangements with the processor. This means buyers must call their processor the day after the sale to provide cutting instructions. When calling, mention that the animal came from the Howard County Livestock Sale and provide the ear tag/sale order number. The processor can talk you through cutting and packaging options. Buyers are responsible for processing costs to cut, wrap, and freeze. Due to the fact that all area processors are overwhelmed with business, we are asking for a primary and secondary choice of processor. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but there are no guarantees. Our committee has worked extremely hard to obtain enough processing dates for everyone and we have added a new processing shop this year- Country Foods. We hope that you will bear with us this year as the industry recovers, and thank you for the support of our sale.
The 2023 Howard County Livestock Sale will ONLY be in person this year. We are so excited to see everyone back in person and can not wait to see everyone again this year.
